My review for Dog Nail Clippers Trimmer by For Dog Premium Includes Nail File & Safety Guard Sharpest Pet Grooming Professional Non-Slip Handles - Perfect for Puppies and Cats!!!

I really like these dog clippers! Quality made & I can use these on my Dog & my cats..

I have been extremely hesitant about clipping my dogs nails! My partner has really been on me for quite sometime because she has had enough. Buddy has begun scratching at the door panels & the carpet. I thought maybe it was because he had to use the bathroom but after letting him out he still persisted on scratching.

I had read some articles where dog owners mentioned that scratching can mean a number of things. But most times when they scratch its because they are trying to trim there nails themselves. How true is that I have no clue, but it made sense to me! I still kept putting it off, because I don't know what I am doing. I have heard such horror stories when it comes to trimming dogs nails. If you trim to far you could potentially cut there vein in which they will bleed to death. Again not sure how true that is.

I was then offered the opportunity to get these dog clippers at a discounted rate, in exchange for my honest & unbiased opinion. When they arrived I had to watch a TON of tutorial videos because I was a nervous wreck. Mind you the instructions on the back were well written & explained what I needed to do. But I had to be careful! Finally I worked up enough courage & I got Buddy to sit on my leg so I could hold his paw & push his nails out so I could see where the veins were. I then took the clippers and snipped just a little. I sat there amazed because they actually clipped nicely. No jagged edges or anything. Also on the dog clippers where you place the nail there is a protective guard which stops the nail from sliding to far & holds it more securely in place. I love that! I was done in a matter of minutes. Mind you I would stop and give my Buddy a treat! He was such a good boy.

There is a few more things I like about these dog clippers! I love that there is a lock on them. You squeeze them together & push the black piece up closer to the top of the handle. When you want to unlock it you just squeeze the handles & push the black piece down & walla the clippers are unlocked. This is such a great concept in case you have little ones running around or even if somehow your animals can get to them they can't hurt themselves. I also thought it was neat that For Dog Premium added a nail file. Which you can find at the bottom of the handle. Lastly I really appreciated how easy it is to grip & hold the clippers in my hand. There not heavy at all they are super light. Which is perfect for me because I have carpal tunnel!

Overall I really like these dog clippers & I have also used them on my cats! Which worked as good as when I did my Buddies nails. I definitely recommend these dog clippers. Great quality, easy to hold super light & clip nicely.
