First thing I noticed is this ceramic flat iron has a swivel cord! This means where the cord starts it turns which will prevent a tangled cord. I love that! Not only will it prevent a tangled cord but it will also prevent the wires inside the cord to get a short in them. The cord is on the thicker side which tells you its wired to provide the amount of heat to it without being to much on the wires. Its super lightweight so its not hard on my wrist! Also with this flat iron the pivoting plates in which heat up are 1" wide which is perfect for curling or to give your hair a nice wave. My old flat iron was an 1" & a 1/2 wide which made it impossible to curl. Which yea I can use a curling iron but with this flat iron I can just use this and not have to use a curling iron. That means it cuts the time in half when styling my hair. The plates that heat up are 100% tourmaline ceramic! Some of you may think what is ceramic & tourmaline. Tourmaline Ceramic is something you really want when purchasing anything thats used on your hair that heats up. The reason being is because these 2 are better to use on your hair. Its stop frizz & it stops your hair from frying or breaking while straightening your hair. Also your hair will be much shinier compared to a flat iron that is not made of these two things.
Now for me I heated the flat iron to 320° which this flat iron heats up super fast & does go up to 450°. With my old flat iron it took about 20 minutes to heat up. Not with this flat iron it heats up in seconds. So be careful when using especially with little children around. Which I think everyone knows that! It glides nice over my hair, which is nice because with others I have used the plates always pulled my hair and it hurts when that happens. I love that I don't have to use a bunch of products to get my hair straight. The only negative thing I found that I did not like, is the buttons are placed closer to the end of the flat iron. When closing it my fingers kept hitting the temp buttons or the power button. So I had to get used to putting my hand above the screen in which displays the temp. I couldn't get a good grip at the end of it! Mind you, you can lock the temp in by pressing the power button for a second but when accidentally touching the power button it will unlock the temp in which you set it on. So that is the only things I dislike about this straightener is where the buttons are placed. Other than that I am completely happy with this 100% Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron by ISA Professional's.
I highly recommend this Professional Ceramic Flat Iron to anyone in the market looking to purchase a flat iron like this one. And there is a 1 hour auto shut off safety feature. Which yes I tested out to see if it would turn off and it did. Very surprising and definitely nice to have because I know I forget to turn things off. This will prevent the flat iron from burning up, or catching something on fire. I think that's incredible of ISA Professional to think of everything possible when designing this flat iron.
